After years of pandemics, military conflicts, and environmental pollution, the planet turned into a desert strewn with ruins. The new buildings were completely destroyed; only ancient constructions and monuments remained. The atmosphere was devastated. Those few who survived built homes from the wreckage. Gravity had been overcome, and these strange constructions floated, as it was too dangerous to stand on the ground contaminated with toxins. Countries no longer existed. This land was named Decimora. The name combined "decimate" with "ora" (land) and reflected a world ravaged by destruction, war, and environmental collapse.
I’ve been thinking a lot about the military conflicts that have recently intensified around the world. How can we, as humans in the 21st century, be so aggressive towards our neighbors? Why do we know the history of wars and conflicts and still continue to kill others? Why do we possess advanced technologies and use them as weapons? What is wrong with us?
